January 27th, 2009

Today was the first appointment I have missed since we started going to our doctor! I am 2,500 miles from my 4 favorite peeps, and they had to go see the doctor without me. Shara and both did not like it, but things still went great! The babies were lighting up the doppler with all their movement and their heartbeats were right on track at 156, 144, and 150 respectively! Thanks again Julia for taking Shara and for also ensuring she gets her fry fix, hahaha!

We have our next appointment this Monday for the quick ultrasound and then back to the Doctor on Shara's birthday, the 10th. I can't believe we are at 21 weeks, it has gone by too fast, but we will take it!

The week of Shara's birthday is also the week we get to take a tour of the maternity ward. We are so excited to check out where the SD3 are going to arrive at!

Chad and Sarah are coming up the weekend after this one to help with some much needed painting. If anyone else loves to paint and wants to join, just let me know! HAHA! We have the nursery, the guest bedroom and the new office and playroom to do. The house is going to look spiffy for the little ones!

That is it for now, keep posting comments, and keep calling Shara!! =o)

Comment Posting Help

Hi everyone. We have had a lot of people ask how they can leave comments without signing up for anything. We thought we would give you a quick lesson.

Start by clicking on the "Comment" link beneath any of our posts.

That will take you to the "Leave your comment" section. Write your comment in the blank white box on the right.

After you are done you will need to type in the "Word Verification" box. That is the section right below the comment box.

Once that is done you need to click on the right section on the "Choose your identity." If you do not have any sort of account, simply choose the "Name/URL" choice.

Just type your name in the box and click on "Publish Your Comment".

Voila, all done! I have include a picture below to help illustrate it better.

We also figured we should update everyone on Shara's progress while we are here. Shara has just finished her first week of bed rest and is doing well. She is getting very big and already has a hard time moving around! We are looking to get some belly pics posted so everyone can see what we mean. We even moved the bar fridge and a microwave up into the bed room to make moving around easier. Shara's next appointment is Tuesday. This is the first appointment I will be missing as I will be travelling. A big thanks to Julia for accompanying Shara for me, THANKS!

Also a huge thanks to Shara's parents for the past week. Shara's Mom is basically living at our house when I am away and doing so much for us, we really appreciate it!

That's it for now, talk to you on Tuesday!!!!

January 19th, 2009

Today was one of the biggest days of the SD3 pregnancy yet! Today was Level II ultrasound day, which meant very detailed looks and measurements of all the babies and their parts.

The first news is that everything looked GREAT! All of the measurements and parts were right where they were supposed to be, but more on that later.

The next news was a bit of a shocker...

BABY A is a BOY!!!! That is right! We thought we had 3 girls, but now it looks like we have 2 girls and 1 boy!!!!! We are very excited to have both sexes and the mix is exactly what we were hoping for!! Even though I asked the sonographer three times if she was sure, she still said yes! HAHA! We have to return a few things, and re-think some other items, but we are okay with that!

So now back to the results of the ultrasounds now that I got the big shock out of the way, lol. The babies heart beats were 150, 147 and 150 bpm. We got to see their brains, legs bones, arm bones, kidneys, diaphragms, bladders, stomachs, hands, feet, fingers and toes! The doctor said all the pictures looked great and everything is progressing well. The babies' weights are 13 oz, 12 oz, and 11 oz. The little ones almost doubled in size in the last 4 weeks!

Shara is now officially off work and on house arrest/bed rest. Of course, I am heading to Seattle for the entire week today. Sooooo, if anyone has free time, please give my lovely wife a call or stop on by, she will be free, hahah!

We have to get plans wrapped up on lots of stuff now. Furniture needs ordering, colors picked out, registries finished, etc. Lots of work, but so worth it. My new office and the new play room are all done except for paint and carpet. When we get everything painted, including the SD3's nursery, I will post pics!

That is it for now. We have a doctor visit next week, then the cervix ultrasound the week after. Stay tuned for the next update!

January 14th, 2009

This week was doctor visit week. No pictures, but we did get to hear the heart beats again and they were 163, 144 and 170 bpm respectively. The doppler makes a weird noise if the babies move, and Baby C was a dancing fool today! No wonder her heart beat was the highest! She was out for a jog I think! Everything is looking great and we are looking forward to the Level II Ultrasound on Monday.

Shara is enjoying her last week of work. She even got a baby shower from the people at her work today! They were very kind and thoughtful, and don't know how happy they made a certain Triplet Mom-to-be! So after this week, Shara is stuck at home. Therefore, if anyone has the thought of visiting or calling Shara, DO IT!! She will need to be kept entertained as much as possible for the next 14 weeks so she does not go stir crazy. No appointments needed, come on down! Everyone is welcome!! ;o)

Just to clarify, Monday the 19th is the day we will have great pictures and so much more details. Mark it on your calendars to come and visit our blog then. There should be some cool things to see!

Talk to you then!

January 7th, 2009

Today was the non-detailed ultrasound day. This is the check on the heart beats and Shara's cervix. Everything looks awesome! The babies' heart rates are 150. 153 and 153 bpm, right where they should be!

So we are going to find out the sexes at the Level II ultrasound on January 19th, but because Shara is going on bed rest, we want to see if the sonographer could take a sneak peek at the little ones and see if we could tell the sexes now. Well, we are not 100% positive, but it looks like ALL GIRLS!!!! Three princesses!!! We are so excited! It is going to be a wild ride, but one we can't wait to get started! Again, nothing is definite yet, but chances are very good that they are all girls! We won't start buying all girl things in three just yet, but we should start planning on it! The thought of the three girls having each other for their entire lives is a comforting thought. Who wouldn't want 2 built in best friends! Three girls! We are shocked, but I am not surprised, as that was my prediction all along. I am going to have to go and get some "Just For Men" dye sooner than later, hahah!

The babies are getting so big and they move around so much. Baby A and C were going crazy, with C rolling over again and again. Baby A was a jumping bean. Baby B is a little more relaxed and was the calm one of the bunch. We shall see how much they resemble that when they are born!

Shara is doing great. Getting bigger all the time. I just love that belly! She is looking forward to getting off her feet, and so am I. She needs to rest up and take it easy, for her and the SD3. She is funnier than ever though, and I hope our kids are as funny as she is!

Below are the ultrasounds of each little one. A lot more pictures will come in 2 weeks, but enjoy looking at our three little ladies. We can't wait to meet them (well we can, we can wait 16 more weeks, lol). Thank you for all your comments. Keep em coming and we hope to see everyone soon!

January 2nd

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

2009 is upon us, what hope this year brings!

So, with Shara soon to be confined to the house, we have had to get into gear with the planning. We have started registering for things, but it has been slow going. Shara is lucky to last for 30 minutes before becoming exhausted, although she finds the energy to get ice cream on the way home! I think we are going to wheel her around in a wheel chair at the stores from now on to be sure things get done! We also reviewed the project plan with Shara's parents, Mom-mom, her brother Chad and his girlfriend Sarah. We got a lot accomplished and have a better idea of what we need to do when. We made plans to paint, tentative shower dates and other dead lines were set.

We are quickly realizing that time is getting short. You may find that strange as Shara is not even 18 weeks pregnant, but with going on bed rest in 2 weeks, then who knows when she will be in the hospital, we have to get as much done now as possible.

Tomorrow Shara, her Mom and Sarah will do more registry shopping, while I am going to start looking for digital cameras and camcorders so every moment is captured come this summer. We have another ultrasound on Wednesday, so I will be posting any pictures we get from that. Talk to you then!
